Welcome to our Shuswap Experience!

 Located between Kamloops and Salmon Arm, along the Trans Canada Highway (#1), Chase is a wonderful stopping point or plan an extended stay to immerse yourself in nature’s bounty and attractions that the Shuswap region has to offer.

Our many lakes, parks and hiking trails are easy access for light day excursions. Scenic highlights not to be missed are the shores and camping areas of Niskonlith Lake and a visit to Roderick Haig-Brown Provincial Park where salmon return to spawn each fall is a must. Brilliant red colors the waters of Adams River as the sockeye complete their 405 km journey from the ocean.

The Shuswap experience extends from rich valley lakes to mountain peaks where the more adventurous discover new vistas via snowmobile at Crowfoot Mountain. There is something for everyone in the Shuswap all year!

The Village of Chase itself sits on the shores of Little Shuswap Lake and the South Thompson River valley. The downtown core is lined with seasonal blooms and is easy walking to a variety of specialty stores, art, culture and restaurants. Stop by one of our coffee shops, bakeries or grocery outlets and enjoy a cappuccino or a refreshing fruit smoothie with your lunch or pick up your favourite fresh deli supplies baked bread and treats for a picnic on a downtown bench or lakeside park.

Venture down to the red pier and beach at Memorial Park or set out on a day excursion to some of the most spectacular nature areas in the interior of British Columbia. Chase Creek Falls offers a beautiful location to have a picnic lunch.

 Free RV parking is available and conveniently located in the Chase Plaza. The plaza offers a myriad of amenities and services and is next door to the Art Holding Memorial Arena home to the Chase Chiefs hockey team.

Local produce including world famous corn, strawberries and pumpkins can be enjoyed in season from Pete Murray’s Corn Farm and Golden Ears Co-Op. The Chase Cornstock Festival combines our world famous corn, local musicians, in a fun family at the Chase Memorial Park. Fall time at the Pumpkin Patch are family affairs to enjoy during the late summer and rich fall seasons.

From May to September the local Farmer’s Market offers a variety of organic produce, arts and crafts as well as live music.

During the summer one can experience Canada’s unique Aboriginal cultures at the Squilax Pow Wow celebration held every year in July. It is a celebration of First Nations people with traditional demonstrations and ceremonies.

Summer would not be complete without a round of golf and enjoy a relaxed lunch at the Sunshore Golf Course in the heart of Chase or at our neighbouring Talking Rock Resort and Quaaout Lodge, both with stunning lake and mountain views.
